Elise Valmorbida
Author

Elise Valmorbida grew up Italian in Australia, and lives in London. Her 2018 award-winning Faber novel The Madonna of the Mountains is published internationally in several languages and editions. Other books include Matilde Waltzing, The TV President, The Winding Stick and The Book of Happy Endings. Elise is also an award-winning indie film producer and wrote SAXON: The Making of a Guerrilla Film. Her latest non-fiction is a creative writing guide: The Happy Writing Book.

Books

Elise teaches creative writing with Central Saint Martins, Faber Academy, Guardian Masterclasses, Arvon, literary festivals and community-building organisations. She is founder-director of communications consultancy word-design, on the board of writers org 26, and former External Examiner for the MA in Professional Writing at Falmouth University. She is a member of English PEN and The Society of Authors. Her literary agent is Clare Alexander of Aitken Alexander Associates.
